Worth every penny, it's a good internet and gaming computer. This is a great laptop for starters or teens.I purchased the laptop after my 9 year old laptop died. This was a great deal for the price and for what I need it for. Love the slick black color. Not a lot you can do with this other than play with it.I believe this laptop is as good as you will find for a budget laptop. It has 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and excellent functionality. Some people may not be used to Windows 8 yet, like another person who reviewed it, but if you take the quick tutotial on Windows 8 online, you can easily adapt and find it's a very good computer. Overall: Good sound quality, A touch pad that works great, Perfect for Business, Big screen size, easy to set up, lightning fast!

This one is great for all the daily usage, but not powerful enough for gaming. We take advantage of it and purchased this product for our son as his first own laptop. So he could not use it to play 3D games but enough for web browsing, social networking and finishing home work. He like it. We suggest this product for any people who just need a laptop for daily usage. worth every penny

I was looking for a laptop to get me started. Just something to get around on the internet, check email, and store music and video. For the price of around 350$ this computer is amazing. I found that the harddrive is perfect for people that love music and movies like i do. The camera is a good one. Not amazing but still worth using. The laptop as not froze on me and runs at a very good speed. Takes only about 3 mins from a cold start to me being on the internet. The screen is plenty wide and a great size for music and video. The only downfall is the built in Windows 8 so i wouldn't recommend it to anyone in a gaming stand point but for everyone else youll learn how t use it and move through the interface in about a week.

This little thing is lightweight and fast! Seems to be working well, but what I didn't realize was that it does NOT have a CD drive? I have Office and Smart Draw Photo on CD and can not load them on here, so I had to order an additional external CD drive, still waiting for that to come to see if it works, since it doesn't specify Windows 8. My brother, an MCSE, was surprised that it didn't come with some version of Word on it, but it doesn't, you can either purchase Office 10 or use a trial version. All other files from my old laptop had to be brought over on a flash drive. Another issue you don't think about is the touch screen. It's quite staticy, worse than a normal screen, and if you have dogs, it becomes a dog hair magnet. The hair doesn't blow off and when you go to wipe it off, you end up scrolling to another screen. Kinda funny, but something to think about. All in all, great little computer for the price, but be sure to make provisions if anything you need is on CD, and be prepared to step up the vacuuming, lol!

I bought this for my daughter for use in school and I have to say I really like this computer. The lap top is very fast, has great memory and a hard drive with enough space for everything you need along with sky drive as long as you have an MSN account. I thought the keyboard lit up on this but my mistake and it isn't a big deal. I have no idea why there are some people out there not liking Windows 8 but I have no problems with it and just have to learn how to get around on it. What also is good about this computer is that the battery can be replaced when it goes bad which is a negative for my Toshiba convertible which is a tablet/lap top. I highly recommend this computer and as usual HP makes another good product.

love this laptop!! I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner! It's light, thin, fast and just the right size for a college student like me. The windows 8 at first is tricky but after a while you get the hang of it. Anyways shipping got here very fast got the package within 5 days and couldn't be happier!

HP 15.6" HD Laptop /AMD E-300 /4GB DDR /320GB Hard Drive Deals

I own three all fast and snappy (if one keeps it clean), all windows 7, not the win8 garbage. Yes the processor is "weak" in Ghtz, but I can play any modern game I can throw at it (low settings) and photoshop with ease. A good all around laptop for average users. Do not expect this to be a power house with a 18 watt processor. I put an SSD in one and I see little difference, snappier, but little difference in speed (due to processor low Ghtz) other than that it only consumes 20 watts of total power consumption now (with SSD) compared to less than 40watts before with a spindle hdd. I recommend this to all my clients who are just average, go online, play lite games, check email, etc., users. 100% satisfaction so far, and my clients. Also, its pretty lightweight. HP did it right and AMD did it better with their baked in graphics card right in the processor. Oh, yeah and its dual core. I love it.

If all you were ever going to do on a computer was type reports for say, school projects, than by all means by this computer. But for ther rest of the world, with Netlix accounts, or avid gamers. This is a sore disappointment. it can't even run simple movies off of the DVD drive without being overloaded and crashing.

This PC is satisfying my needs in every way. It is not a superspeed, metal case computer; but then again that's not what I wanted or was willing to pay for. It is not the fastest computer, but I need it mostly for email and internet browsing for which it does a good job. My only concern is "will it be reliable?". With this price point, I do hope they still built in HP reliability.

PRO...........one of the last 15.6 PC's out there without a numberic keypad. For me that is a huge plus.

CON...........if you want to get to the hard drive you basically have to take the computer apart to get at it. I am used to removing two srcews and sliding them out. I have also determined that this computer will support windows 8 only. You cannot load windows 7. Major flaw and reason to return this extremely limited computer.

HP Pavilion g7-2222us 17.3-Inch Deals

This machine is not a performance powerhouse by any means, but it is a fairly priced good quality machine.

We bought this for our daughter about a month ago directly from HP, and it meets all of her needs. Yes, the screen could be higher resolution, the processor could be faster, and the hard drive speed could be faster, but all those things would add a lot to the price.

The battery life on this computer has been about 5 hours during normal use. We've only had an opportunity to fully test that (going from full to empty) twice, so it may vary depending on what you are doing and your settings.

This machine has Windows 8 installed on it, which is true of almost all new computers now. We definitely prefer most things about Windows 7 to Windows 8, although some things have been improved such as the task manager. (The task manager is that program that opens when you hit Control-Shift-Escape that tells you what programs and processes are running and how you computer is performing. They've added a ton of functionality to that feature of Windows.) Things that we don't like, such as the new start screen, aren't that big of a deal to get around. Overall, Windows 8 isn't a reason to dislike this computer, in my opinion. It takes a little getting used to, but overall it has as much good as it does bad, and we will eventually get used to or find work arounds for the few bad things.

This machine is a good value. It isn't blazing fast, but does web surfing and office applications just fine. If you are looking for a gaming machine, look elsewhere and plan to spend double what this laptop costs. If you are looking for a well made, basic machine, with a 17 inch screen than you won't be disappointed here.

We bought this laptop for my mom who is 82. She's quite computer literate for an old lady! She's mastered Windows 8 already! She just needs it for word processing and internet use (yes, she's on FB!) so this laptop is fine for her. It's a good value for a basic laptop! Not for gaming or anything high-tech, but fine for her!

My desktop computer is 17.5 inches so I thought a laptop that large would have a fare sized keyboard. It don't and they moved the location of important keys in relation to your hand position. They marked the 'F' keys as if they were a secret. The keyboard has reduced me to a hunt and peck typist.
The computer itself is quite satisfactory and has only one draw back. That is that it comes with Windows 8 (no choice and no disk). I have been using Windows for over twenty five years through many revisions. At 76, I can still hold my own on a PC, but this Windows 8 has stopped me in my tracks. I am just getting in programs and info that should have been done by the second day. HP and MS solve any question by putting the computer back to the condition that it arrived in. Windows 8 does not have a restore point that can be set and returned to. The preloaded data keeps trying to sell you something and there are no straight answers on how to backup your hard earned settings for retrieval. It is too big a step to go from a PC to this Pavillion and a crazy operating system like Windows 8.
If I could return it, I would, although there is nothing wrong with the computer other that the keyboard and the fact that I could not get my McAfee downloaded for hours and hours and could have gotten infected as the router setup was almost immediate. The viewing screen can not be taken past 90 degrees and makes you look at it from and angle. I fixed that by turning the laptop 'Targus' cooler backward and angling the keyboard. That didn't bother me as its layout has reduced me to hunt and peck.
I give HP (A good company) three stars and MS a minus three stars for trying to be a Macintosh, which I love but can not afford.

iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for HP Pavilion / ENVY M6 Deals

I placed my order on Monday and by Thursday afternoon it had arrived at the house. The Aqua color is so pretty and bright just like I wanted. The case was easy to put on took maybe a minute to put on. I wanted this case because I have two boys that think my laptop is their own and I didn't want them to drop it or scratch it. The case has already been put through the 3 year old and 9 year old fighting over the laptop test and the case protected it beautifully. I waited 6 years for a new laptop and buying this hard shell case was a great investment. My brother has one also for his MacBook.

This case is exactly what I was looking for to protect my HP Envy M6. It is so attractive and fits perfectly. Super easy to snap on and will keep the brushed aluminum case on my HP from scratching. Love it. Wish they had it in lime green too. My laptop looks great!

I had been looking for a case for my laptop (HP m6-1125dx) for months, and last week, I finally came across this case online. I immediately knew I had to purchase it. The price wasn't too bad and I fell in love with this "aqua" color while looking through the pictures. The case came only 3 days after I ordered it, which is fairly quick. As for the case, it fits perfectly onto my laptop, was very easy to snap on, and seems pretty durable for the price. I would definitely recommend this case as I am extremely satisfied with it.

What a laptop!! I have no idea what that other guy was talking about with the slow responding issue. This laptop is extremely fast!! I am able to play all sorts of games like minecraft and call of duty on nice settings. I will recommend this to anyone who wants a multimedia laptop! I was really happy with my purchase but I wish they had a back-lit keyboard included, not that big of a deal though.

I have the 15.6" version of this and its a great laptop for the price. The graphics card is integrated and runs on system RAM, meaning it will outperform many 1-2gb cards with dedicated RAM when the laptop demands more performance. The A10-4600m is a strong AMD CPU, able to compete with the comparablely priced Intel i3 & i5 CPUs. For gaming purposes, it will run almost all newer games at low-medium settings with antialiasing off. Older games 3+ years old all run at high-ultra settings, including games like Fallout 3/NV, Oblivion, Age of Empires 3, Bully, Company of Heroes, Lord of the Rings BFME2, and many others without issues. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a graphics intensive laptop for music and video editing, as well as gaming or just facebooking.

Again disappointed with the garbage that HP has put out. Took computer out of the box and proceeded to use wireless internet and as usual HP did not load the driver for it. Went online to web site and downloaded driver, after trying to install it, restarted my computer and you guessed it...a blank screen with several dots going in circles. I figured it was loading the software at startup and left it for several hours then over night. When I looked at it this morning it was still blank. Would like to send it back to HP...only problem is I am in Saudi Arabia and FedEx would cost me about the same as the purchase price to send it and we all know how cheap HP is...they would bill me when they sent it back...never again will I buy HP.

I was a little bit nervous purchasing this laptop considering the specs listed on amazon's site are different. The top of the page says the computer has Windows NT operating system and the bottom said Windows 8. I took a chance and ordered the computer and I LOVE it.

Its very fast and picture quality is amazing. I love that it has an HDMI output. My only computer only had VGA. The difference in streaming video on the computer and onto the tv is amazing.

Windows 8 is taking a little while to get used to. I was using Windows 7 previously but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

The laptop is light weight, sleek and the keyboard feels good on your hands. Overall I def recommend this product. I think everyone will love it!

I recommend this laptop.

Used exclusively for work to demonstrate videos and photos to customers... play internet radio. It's fast enough with adequate memory and speed for what I use it for. Arrived on time (Prime is worth getting if you use Amazon a lot pay over $80 in shipping a year).

This is my 2nd HP and the other (HP G6) is still doing fine (8GB RAM)... I upgraded to 8GB RAM through Crucial [dot ]com and it runs over 12 hours a day and has been doing so since Fall of 2011. This model (4GB RAM) is capable of 8GB RAM for even better performance. Note that this comes with Windows 8 and I think runs better than my G6 where I upgraded from Win 7.

Get these 2 modules:
Crucial CT3695417
or Kingston or Corsair... all available from Amazon.com

Open the access area... battery compartment or entire bottom of the laptop, locate where the RAM slot is, remove the existing module by pressing down on the retaining clips, remove the module, get the new module and line up the notch in the row of metal pins at the bottom of your module with the key in the SODIMM slot on your motherboard. (If the notch doesn't line up right away, flip your module around and try it the other way. It doesn't matter which side of your module has the black chips or the stickers on it. The important thing is to line up the notch.)

Hold the module at a 45-degree angle to the slot and slide it into place. No more than 1/16" of the gold contacts should be showing when the module is properly seated in the slot.

MODULE:
FEATURE: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800
SPECS FOR RAM: NON-ECC * DDR3-1333 * 1.35V * 512Meg x 64

I've always been a Toshiba guy but couldn't pass up the price point when i went to replace my 4 year old Satellite. Other than HATING Windows 8, I'm very Very pleased with the performance of this HP.
